Killeen is an historic castle set in a rural idyll at the heart of County Meath, the Royal County and home to the fabled High Kings of Ireland. Originally built in 1181 by the de Lacy family, the ninth Earl of Fingal, remodeled and extended the iconic fortress in 1841, creating the gracious and enchanting home we see today. The landscape and surrounds are filled with relics of Ireland’s magical and spiritual past including the romantic ruins of the 7th century abbey framed by the majestic glass wall of the hotel lobby.
